Madagascar is disproportionally rich in rails, one of which is the handsome White-throated Rail.

Strange things are afoot here. The official number of cases is still low, only 82, with two people having already recovered. A dispensation has come from the president for a three-day lifting of the nationwide travel ban, happening at the end of this week. Domestic flights and taxi brousse services will resume. The official reason is to allow people to return home who were stranded by the initial lock-down. The rumored true reason is the desire of political bigwigs to make traditional visits to their home towns and villages to celebrate Easter. Sounds to me like the way a pandemic spreads...
