The White-headed Vanga is one of a bounty of Malagasy vangas. Perched on an Octopus Tree, one of the special plants of the bizarre southwestern Spiny Forest.

Caravans of busses from the capital have arrived in my town today, after the presidentially mandated lift on the nationwide travel ban. Everyone is being screened upon arrival at a big gymnasium. Probably just checking temperature and watching for obvious coughing. Apparently Tana is bursting at the seams, and part of the logic of doing this might have been to diffuse social tension during the lockdown. The medical situation is only a part of the picture here. But this still seems like a terrible idea to me.
